Electro + Techno mix from May 2000

This mix was recorded in May 2000 in Leeds, on my trusty Technics 1210s. This is 5 years on from the last one posted so the mixing is pretty respectable by this stage.

We start off with some electro tracks from Simulant, Anthony Rother, and UR, then shift into 4-4 techno via Dave Angel's gorgeous remix of Model 500's 'I Wanna Be There'. On the B-side it's more melodic with tracks from (Weatherall side project) Deanne Day and Plaid among others.

V. Early DJ Mix: 1995 – Detroit, Electro, Hip House etc

Another old very old DJ mix recovered from tape. This was done on my belt drive Ariston decks in 1995. The levels are all over the place and there's more dodgy scratching and and ill conceived back-spins! But no happy hardcore this time (you may or may not be pleased to hear).

Happy Hardcore mix from 1995

I finally got a working tape deck a week or so ago, and sorted through a big box of old tapes. I found this beauty - a happy hardcore mix that I did with my mate Peach in September 1995. It was literally the first time I'd tried beat-matching records as I had just bought my first set of decks - Arison belt drive things (not great, but you learn to work with them). Some pretty dodgy crosses in there but not a bad effort.

Novation Circuit live sketch

This is a competition entry for a track made using only the Novation Circuit, in the Circuit Owners group on Facebook.

It's a pretty basic sketch as no other instruments or devices were allowed.

The samples, as stipulated by the competition rules are by Lightfinger. The synth patches are from by Cuckoo and are available here .
